Product Fit & Sizing
How do I know if I need the Deckbox or the Deckbox XL?
Easy rule: if you single-sleeve your decks, get The Deckbox. If you double-sleeve, get The Deckbox XL. Both hold a full 100-card Commander/EDH deck plus 10+ token cards — the only difference is the interior space. The standard Deckbox fits 100 single-sleeved cards. The XL is sized for cards in two sleeves (a perfect-fit inner plus a premium outer like Dragon Shield or KMC). When in doubt, the XL fits both — but single-sleevers get a tighter, cleaner fit with the standard.
How many cards does each box hold?
Both boxes hold a full 100-card Commander deck plus 10+ token cards. The Deckbox is sized for 100 single-sleeved cards. The Deckbox XL is sized for 100 double-sleeved cards. The Quick-Swap Core inside each box holds the deck snugly so cards don't shift during transport.
Will my double-sleeved deck fit?
Yes — that's exactly what The Deckbox XL is built for. The XL Quick-Swap Core has interior dimensions of 2.7" × 3.6" × 3.6" (70mm × 92mm × 92mm), sized specifically for 100 double-sleeved standard TCG cards. It fits the most common double-sleeve combinations, including a perfect-fit inner with a Dragon Shield, KMC, or Ultra Pro outer.
What sleeve brands are compatible?
All major sleeve brands fit. The Deckbox accommodates standard 66×91mm card sleeves including Dragon Shield, Ultra PRO, KMC, Ultimate Guard, Gamegenic, and similar. The Deckbox XL fits the same brands as outer sleeves with most perfect-fit inner sleeves underneath. If you sleeve up your deck for tournament play, your sleeves fit. (Probably with room to spare.)
Will tokens and oversized cards fit?
Yes. Each box has space for 10+ token cards alongside your 100-card deck. For oversized cards (like Planechase or Conspiracy from Magic), the standard Deckbox isn't designed for them — they don't fit upright with the rest of the deck. Most Commander players keep these in a separate token box or sleeve folder.
Does the Quick-Swap Core come with the box?
Yes — every Deckbox and Deckbox XL ships with one Quick-Swap Core inside, ready to load with your deck. Additional Cores are sold separately so you can run multiple decks through a single box without re-sleeving or unloading every time you want to switch decks.
The Quick-Swap Core System
What is the Quick-Swap Core and how does it work?
The Quick-Swap Core is a removable inner shell that holds your deck. Here's the workflow it's built for: keep each deck loaded in its own Core at home — in a drawer, on a shelf, in a cabinet. When game night rolls around, drop the Core(s) you want to play into a Deckbox and head out. No re-sleeving, no shuffling between boxes, no rebuilding your decks every time you swap.
Most BrB players we know own a few Deckboxes and a lot of Cores. (One of our founders owns 12 decks — each lives in its own Core in a cabinet — and loads 3 or 4 of them into Deckboxes before heading to a pod.)
Are Cores sold separately, and how many do I need?
Each Deckbox comes with one Core included. Additional Cores are sold separately. One Core per deck is the right move — keep every deck loaded in its own Core at home, then transfer Cores into a Deckbox when you're ready to play. If you own 8 decks and want them all sleeved up and ready to grab, you'll want 8 Cores.
You don't need a Deckbox for every deck. Most players own 2–4 Deckboxes (enough to take their favorites to game night) and many more Cores (one per deck in their collection).
Are the standard Cores and XL Cores interchangeable?
No — they're sized differently. Standard Cores fit only inside The Deckbox (single-sleeved). XL Cores fit only inside The Deckbox XL (double-sleeved). If you run a mix of single- and double-sleeved decks, you'll want the right size box and Cores for each.
Can I use the same box with multiple Cores for different decks?
That's the whole point. A Deckbox is the transport, the Cores are the storage. Keep your full deck collection loaded in Cores at home, and use your Deckbox(es) to take whichever ones you want to play. Drop the right Core into a Deckbox before you leave, and you're locked and loaded.
One important note: Cores are designed to live inside a Deckbox when you're on the move — they aren't a standalone bag-friendly carrier on their own. They're meant for at-home storage and for use inside a Deckbox. If you're bringing multiple decks to game night, you'll want multiple Deckboxes loaded with whichever Cores you're playing that night.
Build Quality & Durability
What material is the Deckbox made from?
The Deckbox is 3D-printed from PLA — but not the way you're picturing.
Yeah, 3D printing has a reputation for being cheap, brittle, and flimsy. Ours isn't. BrB Deckboxes are printed at high density with multi-walled construction — significantly thicker than the single-walled plastic shells you'll find on most competitor boxes. And most "premium" deck boxes on the market? They aren't even plastic. They're cardboard wrapped in fake leather. Drop one of those and you've got a sad cardboard taco.
Printing in-house at our facility in the USA gives us tight tolerances, real impact resistance, and end-to-end control over the spec sheet — things you can't get when you're sourcing the cheapest overseas mold. The walls are thick, the corners are reinforced, and the lid mates flush with no flex. Your sleeves will wear out before this box does.
How strong is the MagLock? Will it stay closed in my bag?
The MagLock uses high-grade neodymium magnets seated flush in the lid and body. The seal is firm enough that the lid doesn't pop open in transit, doesn't rattle when shaken, and doesn't drift open during a long car ride. It slides smoothly when you actually want to open it. Magnets — how do they work? In our case, flawlessly.
Will the magnet damage my cards or foils?
No. The neodymium magnets are positioned in the lid and body of the box — outside the card chamber where your deck sits. Modern trading cards (including foils) aren't magnetic and aren't affected by static magnetic fields of this strength. The magnets are also designed and positioned so they can't pinch your cards when the lid slides shut. The MagLock won't curl your foils, demagnetize anything, or harm your cards in any way.
Has the box been drop-tested?
Yes. Every BrB Deckbox is engineered and tested to handle the real-world abuse of being thrown in a backpack, dropped on a hardwood floor, and packed into a car for a weekend of game nights. The multi-walled PLA construction holds up to repeated drops without cracking, and the MagLock stays sealed when it counts. We don't market "ruggedized" gear we wouldn't trust with our own decks.
Made in the USA
Where are BrB boxes made?
Every BrB Deckbox is designed and manufactured in the United States. From the engineering of the MagLock magnets to the printing of the polymer shell to final assembly, we don't take overseas shortcuts. BrB is a U.S. operation, end to end.
Why did you choose to manufacture in the USA?
Because we wanted hands-on control over every detail — the magnet strength, the texture of the grip, the precision of the lid seal, the consistency of the finish. Going overseas would have been cheaper. It would have also meant losing the ability to walk into the shop, look at a part, and say "tighten this tolerance." We wanted gear we'd trust with our own $500 decks, and that meant making it ourselves, here.
How does American manufacturing affect quality?
It means we control the spec sheet. Competitors source overseas plastic boxes built to a price point — what you see at MSRP is what the factory could produce cheapest. BrB is built to a quality standard first, and the price reflects what it actually costs to do that in the U.S. Tighter tolerances, better materials, real engineering oversight. That's the difference.
Shipping & Delivery
How quickly do orders ship?
We process orders within 1–3 business days, and most ship out the next business day. Once your order is in transit, delivery typically takes 2–5 business days via UPS or USPS. We don't ship on Sundays or major U.S. holidays.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free shipping on all U.S. orders over $65. Orders under $65 ship for a flat $6.99. Since most BrB orders include either a Deckbox + Core or a multi-box bundle, the vast majority qualify for free shipping automatically.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we ship within the U.S., U.S. Territories, and to APO/FPO/DPO addresses only. International shipping isn't available yet, but it's on our radar. If you're outside the U.S. and want to know when we expand, drop us a line at Hello@BattleReadyBoxes.com.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll get a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. The tracking number activates within 24 hours of shipment and works directly with UPS or USPS depending on the carrier. If you don't see the email, check spam — and if it's still missing, hit us up.
Returns & Guarantee
What is your return policy?
30-day returns, no questions asked, free return shipping. If your Deckbox isn't what you expected, contact us at Hello@BattleReadyBoxes.com within 30 days of receiving your order, and we'll send a return label and instructions. No restocking fees, no hassle. Once we receive the return, refunds process within 5 business days.

Whether it's a replacement, a refund, or something else — we're going to take care of it. Our shipping policy covers transit damage, and our 30-day satisfaction guarantee covers everything else.
Do you offer a warranty?
We back every Deckbox with our 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If anything's wrong with the box — a defect, a damaged unit, anything not right — we'll repair, replace, or refund. If you have a quality issue beyond 30 days, reach out anyway. We stand behind our gear.
I changed my mind — can I return an unopened box?
Yes. Within 30 days of receipt, you can return any Deckbox for any reason — including changing your mind. Contact us at Hello@BattleReadyBoxes.com to start the return. The box must be in the same condition you received it. We cover return shipping.
Orders, Bundles & Discounts
How does the bundle discount work?
Click the "Bundle & Save" button on any Deckbox product page to open the bundle builder. Discounts auto-apply: 10% off when you bundle 2 deck boxes, 15% off when you bundle 3 or more, and 10% off any Quick-Swap Cores or Counters added to the bundle. No code needed.
Can I mix colors in a bundle?
Yes. You can mix colors and sizes when creating a bundle — combine standard and XL Deckboxes in any combination of Blackout, Iridium, Sonar Purple, Bullseye Red, and Hi-Vis Green. The bundle discount applies regardless of which colors or sizes you pick.
Can I use a discount code on top of a bundle?
Yes — codes stack. Promo codes (newsletter signup, holiday promos, etc.) stack with bundle discounts and free shipping. Build your bundle, enter your code at checkout, and the discounts layer on top of each other. Stack 'em up.
Do you offer wholesale or group rates for game stores?
Yes — we have a wholesale program for local game stores and tabletop retailers. If you run an LGS and want to carry BrB on your shelves, email us at Hello@BattleReadyBoxes.com and we'll send over wholesale terms.
TCG Compatibility
Does the BrB Deckbox work for Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, and other TCGs?
Yes. The Deckbox is sized for standard 63×88mm trading cards, which covers Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, One Piece TCG, Flesh and Blood, and most other modern TCGs. If your game uses standard-size cards in standard sleeves, BrB works.
Does it fit standard card sizes for all major TCGs?
Yes. Both the standard Deckbox and the XL are dimensioned around standard TCG card size (63×88mm / 2.5"×3.5"). Whether your deck is 60 cards (standard formats) or 100 cards (Commander/EDH), the Deckbox holds it. Players running smaller formats often use the spare space for tokens, dice, or counters.
What if my game uses larger or smaller cards?
The Deckbox is built specifically for standard TCG cards. It's not designed for Yu-Gi-Oh! mini cards, oversized Planechase cards, or non-standard sizes. If you're playing a game with non-standard cards, the Deckbox isn't the right fit — but feel free to email us before ordering if you're not sure.
BrB vs. The Competition
How does BrB compare to Ultimate Guard, Gamegenic, or other deck box brands?
Two big differences: BrB is designed and made in the USA, and we make a fundamentally different kind of box.
Most competitors (Ultimate Guard, Gamegenic, Quiver Time) manufacture overseas — and most of their "premium" deck boxes are actually cardboard wrapped in fake leather. The cheaper end of the market is single-walled plastic.
BrB is neither. We make multi-walled, 3D-printed PLA boxes with significantly thicker walls than any competitor's plastic shell — engineered in-house, with the MagLock seal and Quick-Swap Core system that no other brand offers. We're not trying to be the cheapest deck box on Amazon. We're trying to be the last deck box you'll buy.
Why does the BrB Deckbox cost more than a $5 plastic deck box?
Because it costs more to make. U.S. manufacturing, multi-walled 3D-printed PLA construction, neodymium magnets, the Quick-Swap Core system, real engineering oversight — none of that comes free. A $5 plastic box is single-walled and built to be cheap. A $30 "premium" deck box is often cardboard wrapped in fake leather. A BrB box is built to protect a $500 deck. Gear. Not toys.
Is BrB worth it for a casual player, or is it just for competitive players?
BrB is built for anyone who cares about their cards. Casual Commander players, kitchen-table gamers, and competitive grinders all use BrB. If you've spent real money assembling a deck — whether it's a $50 precon upgrade or a $1500 cEDH brew — you want it protected, transported safely, and easy to grab when game night rolls around.
Brand & Contact
Who started BattleReadyBoxes and why?
Joe and Chase, two Magic: The Gathering players who got tired of seeing their (and their pod's) decks shoved into $5 plastic tubs that popped open in backpacks. After searching for a serious deck box and finding nothing that met the bar, we decided to build it ourselves — designed in the USA, manufactured in the USA, engineered around how Commander players actually use deck boxes. Gear. Not toys. Read the full story on our About page →
